I am thankful for God’s sovereignty! While I
may be disappointed in the outcome of this election, God was not taken by
surprise. He is on His throne – and will not go off by Himself to wring His
hands in dismay at what happened in our country.
So since I believe that God is in
control I will not get in a funk but will make my pot of cappuccino and go
spend some time in His Word to be reminded of how much He loves me and how He
wants me to live.
These verses from I Chronicles 29:10 –
12 are a huge encouragement:
Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power
and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
for everything in heaven and earth is Yours.
Yours, Lord, is the kingdom;
for everything in heaven and earth is Yours.
Yours, Lord, is the kingdom;
You are exalted as head over all.
Wealth and honor come from You;
Wealth and honor come from You;
You are the ruler of
all things.
In Your hands are strength and power
In Your hands are strength and power
to exalt and give strength to all.
Now, our God, we give You thanks,
Now, our God, we give You thanks,
and praise Your glorious name.
