Today I am thankful for the freedom to worship God. I can
walk into a church building, sit in a pew with my Bible in my lap, open my
mouth to sing – I can do all this without fear of persecution or harm.
There are many people who do not
have that freedom and must find ways to worship with other believers in secret.
Many others are disowned by the family members for putting their faith in God. I
can’t imagine what that kind of life is like.
I’m thankful we live in a country
that, at least for now, we do have that freedom. May we never take that for
granted.
