Today I am thankful for God’s Word. It
is so alive and relevant to my life, even though it was written thousands of
years ago.
I love that there are many versions
available for me to read to gain understanding of the definitions to words or
just to hear it in a different voice.
Sometimes I don’t like it as much
because, like any caring parent would do, the words are said to confront and
prod me to change my course of action.
But there are many moments when it is a
comfort and reminder of my Abba’s love for me. In the quiet I hear Him say:
“You are mine – I have redeemed you…”
“I take great delight in you… I am
rejoicing over you with singing…”
“This is the way to go – walk this way…”
“I will satisfy you in the morning with
my unfailing love…”
