I have awakened today with a lighter
heart than when I went to bed last night. Could it truly have been so easy as
to fold up my thoughts and feelings, attribute it to the year and then unfold
this New Year with joyful anticipation? Well, maybe not easy – but it is a
choice. And I am choosing the joy and anticipation! Oh, how I love fresh
starts. Love ‘em!
And it hits me; God must love fresh
starts, too.
“Because of the Lord’s great love we
are not consumed, for His compassions (notice that is plural!!) never fail. They
are new every morning – great is Your faithfulness.”
So as I make my list of goals for this
coming year, along with the take my vitamins each morning… send birthday
cards on time… eat more fruits
and veggies and less chocolate… I am putting at the very top of the list to purposefully
choose to look at each day with joy and anticipation ~ because God is faithful
with His generous love and compassions every day!
